Speech and Language Therapy is provided by a New York State Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) who has been certified by ASHA- American Speech and Hearing Association. Speech Therapy sessions are provided in a private office at school or in the community. Each of our students receives individual sessions and group sessions through our Lunch Bunch program.

During Lunch Bunch students travel off-site to a pre-selected local restaurant where our speech therapist utilizes the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding in a group setting. In our Friendship Class, we focus on group social/emotional learning interactions with some sessions being held off-site in the community.

Our BCBA is also a New York State LBA, also known by our students as the, “ Friendship Teacher.”  The behavior analyst conducts and develops Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) as necessary. In addition, the behavior analyst provides staff trainings in evidence-based behavior management strategies, as well as in-situ support with crisis behavior management.

Physical therapy is provided by a New York State licensed physical therapist. Sessions are provided in 1:1 individual session in the sensory gym. Included as part of a supplemental tuition addendum as needed.
